I finally finished my first knit cowl just in time for summer! 🤣
I received this yarn in my Fibre Share box a few years ago and put it away in a “safe place” so I wouldn’t lose it. When we moved I was unpacking boxes, found it and immediately cast on.
This is a simple, beginner pattern that’s fun to make and quick to finish.

Yarn:
Cornbread & Honey “Birds of a Feather”
75 SW Merino/ 25 Nylon; 246 yds/ 100 g
US 7 (4.5 mm) 16 inch circular knitting needles
Yarn needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
Abbreviations:
Co = Cast on
K = Knit
P = Purl
St = Stitch
Rep = Repeat
Pattern:
Co 108.
Place st marker and join in the round.
Row 1: work 2×2 (k2, p2) ribbing around.
Row 2 – 10: rep row 1
Row 11: K
Row 12 – 25: rep row 11
Row 26: P
Row 27 – 30: rep row 26
Row 31 – 40: rep row 11
Row 41 – 45: rep row 26
Row 46 – 55: rep row 11
Row 56 – 60: rep row 26
Row 61 – 70: rep row 11
Row 71 – 75: rep row 26
Row 76 – 85: rep row 11
Row 86 – 90: rep row 26
Row 91 – 105: rep row 11
Row 106 – 115: rep row 1
Cast off using stretchy bind off.
